Watch what you eat – Dietary considerations have a significant influence over how much tooth decay you may suffer during your life. Foods high in sugar and carbohydrates promote the growth of bacteria in your mouth, accelerating the production of acids. Reducing the amount of sugar and carbohydrates in your diet can be very effective in helping maintain a healthy mouth.
